Monday: a little more family and a little more family history...

We left mom's house in the early afternoon and made our way south.  We drove to my old home town of Keazer Falls.  We went past my schools and through my neighborhoods.  We stopped at the Maine Street house and I showed the kids the yard where I grew up.  It was fun to remember and to have a place to show my kids.  Then we hit up the good old Route 160 Ice Cream Shop for a treat.

After spoiling our dinner with ice cream we drove out to my sister, Lesley's, house.  We met her daughters, step-daughters and husband for the first time.  Actually, we had met her daughters, Amelia and Lilly, when they were very little.  Lesley drove out to California to visit us from her home in Utah.  It was good to see everyone again (and for the first time).

The kids had a blast in the pool...a freezing cold blast.  The adults ate food and chatted for a bit.  Ebin drove up with us from Keazer Falls and Tori and her husband, Josh, came over to say hi too.  It was a lovely visit.  I had to cut it short because I also made plans to meet up with old friends in Portland.  It was great to see Lesley and see her house and kids.
