Back in March, I helped with a church activity for Adell's age group. A bunch of us moms were asked to dress up as famous women and talk to the girls about the awesome things girls can do in the world. I got to be Rosie the Riveter. I hammed it up as best I could but mostly had fun trying to embarrass Adell. It worked.
I learned a lot about the Oakland area during WWII and their huge contribution to the war effort in women power, munitions production, and tank and warship building. I also learned about the museum. I tried to pass all the info on to the girls but really it was an education for me.
