If our first day is any indication, our trip to Boston is going to be PACKED! After our grand tour of Everett, we headed back into Cambridge to see a few more sights there. After we parked Will and a few of the kids had to try and make the world's tallest human stack.
We walked around Harvard. We saw the beautiful campus and the Hasty Pudding building. Cool and funny.
While we were walking around the campus Wyatt wanted to come up with a pack prank we could all do to someone around campus. At first he wanted to bow to everyone who passed us...but we felt like the campus population was just diverse enough that might have offended people. The plan developed as we walked: we would walk in our group of seven in two loose lines. If someone tried to walk between out two lines we would stop, stomp one foot as we turned to face each other, put our right hand up in a fist close to our face and tap our right elbow with our left hand. It seemed perfect.
So we made our way in our loose two lines. We found our target: a guy walking alone. We walked and as he approached he tried to get out of our way. Will did a good job of corralling him in between our two lines. As he parted our group we stopped, turned, and tapped our elbow. I was at the end of our line and Lorien and Will were at the beginning. Lorien couldn't keep a straight face and I got to see this guys whole reaction to our antics. He was startled and maybe weirded out. As soon as he passed we all broke into laughs. Adell giggled: "Did you see his face!" it was hilarious. We laughed about it for hours. Good joke Wyatt. Sorry stranger in Harvard Square.
Next stop: pizza at Otto in Harvard Square. Turns out Otto is from Portland, Maine. It was good pizza! We also saw the Missionaries as we ate and pulled them into a quick chat.
Our last stop was a drive by, we saw Will's first apartments in Cambridge when he got home from his mission. He lived in this apartment with his brother, Dave.
Dave worked for a brick layer and helped build the steps in the apartment next door.
We also drove by The House, where Will lived when we were dating. It was a great day of family history touring.
