Adell's top front teeth have been loose for a long time...but not really getting any looser and certainly not falling out on their own. She had to go through all of TK and Kindergarten being the only kid to not loose a tooth. I am pretty sure the older kids didn't loose their first tooth until first grade but I'm not 100% sure.
Adell's bottom adult teeth have already come through and her bottom baby teeth are still stubbornly in place. We didn't want the same thing to happen with her top teeth so we've been encouraging her to wiggle her top tooth. Her top tooth seemed to be ready to come out today. So we sat on our bed and Daddy plucked it out with his pliers (a solid family tradition).

It was not a smooth and easy removal...it did come right out but Adell was scared and it hurt more than it should have. But she did it. She got her first tooth out and Daddy took her right out for Popsicles as a reward.
She looks very different but we are all glad she lost her first tooth!
So Will pulled her tooth out on July 5th but she told me at bed time that she wasn't ready for the Tooth Fairy to come take her tooth. She wanted to admire it for a little bit longer. So we kept her tooth on her dresser for a day or two until she was ready to put it under her pillow. The Tooth Fairy did not disappoint.
