We are doing it! Closing out 2019 and the 2010's decade with family-style. Colter sang with his first-grade class. He was too shy/embarrassed to sing with the group the morning of the performance. So he sweetly sang the song for me the night before at bedtime. You find him pretty easily in the picture below, he is pretty dead center of the group, trying to disappear under his jacket hood.
I helped plan the company holiday party with a private screening of the new Star Wars movie. Planning was a disaster. I couldn't get the woman in charge of booking the theater to call or email me back in a timely manner. Every time we talked or emailed she would forget every detail we had discussed and agreed on making the next conversation completely repetitive. Or, she wouldn't respond because she was waiting for me to get back to her with the details we had absolutely agreed on in the correspondence before (number of attendees etc.). It was so frustrating. Still, I persevered and we pulled together a lovely movie night for Will's employees.
Adell did her number in the annual Merry Little Christmas Show, cute as ever!
Lorien was home for the Christmas break. We had Christmas day, got lots of presents, and made a mess with wrapping paper.
Gingerbread houses were made. I've figured out making houses isn't a treat or fun for Lorien any more. For the last three years, she hasn't taken it seriously at all. Preferring instead to kind of trash her house, one year she actually lit it on fire with hand sanitizer as an accelerant. I think the novelty has more than worn off for her.

I've been working out at Orange Theory Fitness since October of 2018. The workouts are so hard but so fun! I've been really proud of myself for doing it for over a year (minus eight weeks around my surgery). My endurance has improved, my mile has improved from just under 12 minutes to 10 minutes and 30 seconds. I think I am stronger. I know I feel better. A couple of months before Will's wrestling tournament in Georgia he joined Orange Theory and has been working out with me! We did a New Year's Eve workout together.
And at last, we saw 2019 off and welcomed in 2020 with confetti cannons!
