Our friends the Feders invited us over for dinner and to play some dreidel. It was so much fun. Wyatt stayed home to do homework and Lorien left after dinner to have some friend time. Poor Colter couldn't stand the suspense. Every time he won a pile of coins he would ask if the game could be done now so he could keep his loot. We played for a good long time. We all lost our coins and made them back again. Sometimes we had to give charitably to another player who was down to zero but it always worked out. We laughed and cheered and had a great time. Mark had a cool trick where he could get his dreidel to spin on its handle instead of the pointy bit on the bottom.
We are heading into a busy time of the year. Holiday events and end of semester school stuff keep our days and nights busy, busy, busy. We don't always have the time I want for family fun and extra traditions. I'm so glad we had time tonight. We had a great time and remembering how to play dreidel with real chocolate coins and good friends was an awesome addition to our holiday season.
