Packing our Saturday full too...

After a couple of days of relaxing and doing chores around the house we decided to get out and see some sights.

This picture is my favorite.  One second before I took it Aunt Camie leaned into Lorien and whispered "I don't want to embarrass you or make you worry but..." Lorien's face started to look worried and Aunt Camie whispered "you have holes in your pants."  Lorien's hands flew to her butt...but Aunt Camie was teasing and talking about the holes in the knees of her pants.  Lorien's face turned bright red and we all had a laugh.

We checked out an old house my Mom keeps an eye on for a family friend.  It is full of old treasures.

We checked out the top of the land in Rangely.  The view was beautiful but the wind was abundant.

Uncle Ebin drove up with Charles.  It was great to see him too!

We finished our day in Rangely with ice cream.

After the sights in Rangely I needed a nap.  Will took the kids and Aunt Camie's family over to Aziskahos Lake to hike the mountain over there.  It ended up being a longer hike than Camie's family planned but it was just about right for our kids.

Camie was full of stories about Colter on the hike.  Colter kept calling out for Wyatt: "Wyatt, Wyatt, I need some spits!"  Colter fell a few times and remarked "My legs saved my life!"  On the way home Colter was tired and Will gave him a shoulder ride.  While they were walking through part of the trail that had tree branches reaching over the trail.  Colter got hooked under the arms by two branches and started getting carried off Will's shoulders.  "Dad, Dad!"  Colter shouted!  Will thought Colter was grabbing onto the tree branches.  It took Aunt Camie and Uncle Travis to get Will to stop and keep Colter from ending up in the trees.

After the hike we all enjoyed burgers and watermelon for dinner.  The house is still full to bursting and my Mom is still very happy in the chaos.

We made a fire and roasted smores after dinner.  It was a wonderful day.
